Deluded

By

We dined the night away
Waltzed all dawn
Talked through the day
I was dazed.

His taste was finer
His grasp better
His talk smoother
He had me.

Numb to the ache He left
Head spinning
Eyes shut
Blinded by glamour
I couldn’t notice.

Led on
Turned on
Breath held
Mawu mattered only after.

Bed made in luxury
Body coutured in pride
Fingers covered with rings of deceit
Lips draped with honeyed sins.

Wiase had me
Sprinkled with His Cologne water
Made slave to his Father
I was abandoned.

Led on
Turned on
Breath held
Now,Mawu mattered now.
